New to here!
Hi all,
I'm from Barlow, KY. I found these two little boys on a road close to my house, where they were obviously dropped! They act like they've just been weaned - probably just before they were left. I would really like to know what type of mix breed they might be and at this point it may be impossible. I'm guessing them about 8 weeks old. I'm trying to find them homes, but if not, they'll be #4 & 5 for me. I can't imagine driving off and leaving these helpless babies in a ditch - how can someone do that??
Also, I noticed yesterday that they have fleas. It's been a while since I've had puppies, so what is the safest and most effective way to get rid of them. My other 3 are on comfortis, so they should be fine, but I want to get rid of them asap! Anyway, any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forum! I don't know what breed those two little angels are but, they sure are cute!!! As for the fleas, I'd call your vet for advice, especially since they're so young.

It is always difficult to say for sure or certainty what breed dogs are when they are this young.
As for fleas, your vet should have a flea shampoo that will work. Do not use store bought at this time. As these pups look to be at least 8 to 10 weeks old, they can be treated with Advantage as an option also.
Good luck and glad they have found a forever home. They are good looking pups.

Thanks for the welcome!
It'll be interesting to see how they change as they grow. I'm guessing they'll be medium size as adults. They're starting to grow on my 3 girl dogs. They haven't seen a puppy in a long time and haven't known what to think about them.
Have a great day!
