My babies are an american bulldog boy (Niko) and a pitbull mix girl (Jasmine), and right around the corner are my mom's babies: 2 dobermans, one show boy and one rescued girl.

I've grown up always having dogs, my mom has bred white german shepards and dobermans in my youth, and we've also had many pound puppies. Although I appreciate show dogs, and my family has bred, I advocate rescuing. There are too many animals out there in need of a wonderful home for me to not rescue one, so I rescued 2!

These 2 are my first bullies and I've fell in love! I don't think I will ever go back to other breeds, I'm a bully lover for life!

This forum has really shown me how much I never knew about pit bulls! I like most people, thought (Like the bad rap that seems to be out there everywhere) I thought these were dangerous dogs but it sounds like anyone who gets one of these dogs--love them to death and wouldn't trade them! It is when some jackass trains them to fight and condition them to be mean that gives them this reputation that is not fair to this breed!

I imagine that all you Pit lovers know there is a program on Animal Planet right now (Friday nights at 9pm CST) called Pit Bulls and Parolees. I have no Pits but love this program---Good show for everyone to see! Check it out!
