Hi! I'm Allyson. My boyfriend, Matt, and I have a year old black lab named Sassy & a 5 month old mix named Karli. Matt received Sassy from a friend, and is currently teaching her things for duck hunting season. She is very hyper, and absolutely LOVES the water! We are lucky to have a bayou that runs along our street so she can go swimming any time! I adopted Karli from an animal shelter. I saw her picture online, and kept telling Matt that I wanted her. Matt wanted me to wait, but I went get her anyway. He was upset at first because he wanted to be with me to pick out a puppy, but he loves her so much now! I have no idea what kind of mix she is... at the shelter, they had her listed as a Chihuahua mix, but I really don't think so. And all the vet told me was "pure mutt"
I am really enjoying this site!

Pretty dogs and I love the one of the 2 playing together!---Reminds me of my 2 dogs when I brought the 2nd one home--about same difference in age too (10 months)! Mine are cocker and cocker/golden retriever--Can see them in my album on my profile page.

But trying to guess that pup's breed has me a little stumped. A chihuahua is the smallest dog in the world-2 to 6 lbs and only 6 to 9" tall (from shoulder down) and I've never seen an all black one, although my book on breeds says:
Every coat color and color combination occurs. If your pup was bigger I would wonder if there was some Lab there--but I really can't guess very well on this pup----Maybe as he quits growing you may get some ideas!:mrgreen:

Welcome mate. I first saw their pic before reading your message and I thought they are relative. I see lab on Karli too but I think she's little bit smaller to a lab at her age.
