Default Shalom from Israel

I have a little puppy named "Blackie". Part poodle and part terrier, so I am told. I have suspicions he is part poodle and part monkey, but have no solid evidence to back this up.

He is three months old now. I got him when he was two months old. He is very independent, but seems to be learning fairly rapidly.

He is by no means my first doggy. My last dog died two years ago, after being my buddy for thirteen years. It took awhile before I could accept having another.

The main thing is, I thought I knew a lot about raising dogs, but found out, through the Internet, that I was so wrong on many things. I hope to correct most of the errors this time.

I am wondering why this web site has the warning displays. Could someone explain?

Cheers,
James

I have 2 dogs--Corky, a cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix who is 11 and a half now and Max, a pure cocker spaniel who is going to be 11 in 3 and a half months. I worry about what I'll do when it is their time to go--Don't think I'll be able to stand it! But also think I would be very lonely without a dog around so would have to get another one! You can see my 2 'boys' (dogs) in my album that is on my profile/home page if you like. Do you have some pics to share---Would love to see your little 'dickens'--Bet he is a little cutie!

The main thing is, I thought I knew a lot about raising dogs, but found out, through the Internet, that I was so wrong on many things. I hope to correct most of the errors this time. I also know what you mean here too. I've learned a lot of things in the past 11+ years that I wish I would of known sooner. There is a lot of info in this forum--but also a difference of opinions to deal with! And the same goes for what you find on the internet---Have to decide which advice is the best for you. Books are a good way to learn also.

I am wondering why this web site has the warning displays. Could someone explain? Afraid I can't help you here. There is nothing I can see on this order on my end of it. Is it something to see when maybe just new members come in ? I really have no idea. Could you give more details on this?

Cheers,
James
I'll bet Blackie is quite a character--being that combination of breeds and also probably pretty smart! Bet you could tell a lot of stories about him. Will be looking forward to some of these tales you could tell. Hope you like this forum!

That's pretty interesting to see that you think he got part monkey, please share some piccies or video for us to judge too. Welcome mate, if you have some specific question towards training your puppy, don't hesitate to ask.
