Default New to the Forum

Hi I'm new to this forum. I'm from Toronto, Ontario Canada and I'm not currently a dog owner. I have some experience with dogs being a babysitter to a German Sheppard and Cockapoo currently on a regular basis. I currently do some voluntary work at local animal shelters. I do it both to give back and to shelfishly find what kind of dog is right for me.

I do want a dog of my own preferably sooner than later. I'm taking my time as I don't want to make the wrong decision. I have a few ideas in mind but I'm not really set on one dog just yet. It really seems that the love changes as soon as I research or walk a different breed of dog.

I know a dog is more than just the breed but I guess I'm just confused now and just will take my time.

Anyways, I'm just hear to gather different opinions from you all and go from there. Thanks for having me

Hello and welcome to the forum. I'm also from Toronto. Usually, it's pretty busy in here but with the Christmas holidays, it will probably be slower than usual.

I have a Cockapoo that I love dearly. Depending on whether you want a smaller or larger dog.... my son had a Golden Retriever who was a gem. I love reading books that involve dogs, and from many of the books I've read, I've found the Golden's to be a dog of choice for many. I guess it's all about preference though. I love all dogs and could fall in love with any breed. Good luck and let us know when you decide.

Hello and welcome to ILD! When we adopt our dog, it's more likely on our impression when we first saw him, he got that sweetest and most cheerful smile out there and we give him all he needed, then bless him with all his naughty deeds and it's always fun to have this dog.

Good to hear you are very very careful and concern with your choosing, maybe you can play a little with this tool for dog selection, here:

I just love Jack Russell's and if you research them and decide they are the right breed for you, I can recommend a great breeder in Toronto.

She has two beautiful male puppies left.
