Default Our 2 new Shiba Inu's

Hello I-Love-Dogs.com members! In about 3 weeks our 2 new Shiba Inu's will be old enough to leave their mother and come home with us. They are siblings. The owner doesn't know what sex they are yet. We have gone to visit them and played with them and they are the cutest puppies ever. If any of you know anything about Shiba Inu's that might help us make them the best house dogs ever, please share what you know with me. I've seen some obedience training things that I could buy, but I don't personally know anyone who has tried them. The Don Sullivan infomercial looks pretty impressive to me, but after I google'd his system I saw mixed reviews. So who knows?! Anyway, my kids have each decided which puppy that they will be responsible for. We are all so excited, they have wanted their very own indoor dog for so long. I would just love to be able to help them be able to train these dogs to grow up and be the best behaved dogs ever. While they are at school I'd love to take the dogs for long walks so they can get plenty of excercise. But alot of people where I live walk there dogs and I just want them to be well behaved. So if any of you have any tips for us on this breed of dogs, please share them with us. I've been ready everything that I can find about them.
Thanks!

Smile Welcome to the forum!

Don't know if you saw this site or not:

Shiba Inu Information and Pictures, Shiba Inus, Shiba, Shibas

There are others in this forum that may be able to help--But it has been pretty quiet in the forum lately because of the Holidays--Be patient --you may get some answers soon. One thing I remember seeing in here is that it can be a problem having siblings from the same litter! Something you may have to deal with also.

I have a breeds book that states a couple BE AWARE: 1. Needs firm, consistent training 2. Prone to wreak havoc on your house as a puppy, and digs and climbs with ease

I am no trainer, etc. so when I say this I hope some member in here that knows will comment on this! I am thinking it would be best to have these 2 siblings separated when any training is being attempted.

Hi and welcome, also advance congratulations on having new furbabies. What would be their age when they arrive? Shiba Inu's are very intelligent and well-behave dogs so you don't have any problem with them, just google some puppy training and caring tips.. and the power treats will help you all the way!
