Default Hi.. newby here...

 Hello,
Me and my 1 year old Miniture Jack Russell Terrier Poppy are new here..
Nice to be here and I`m hoping to gain insight into dog behaviour and health issues...
I have had lots of Dogs in the past but this is my first Bitch that I have had from a puppy.
Does anyone now why she, after having her first season has swollen nipples? I am concerned but don`t want to make a wally of myself at the vets if this is normal.. ops:
They don`t seem to hurt her at all, and she is showing no signs of having a phantom pregnacy..
Any help would be greatly received....Could save a red face at the vets....
thanks

Welcome to I love dogs. I have a 3 year old sheltie, it's like having a loaded spring in the house all of the time isn't it??? See ya around the board.

Swollen nipples could certainly be the first sign of a false pregnancy. How long has she been out of season? It would be best to get her speyed 12 weeks after her season.
