I have four dogs now. Two I got on purpose, well make that three, o.k. make that I got all four dogs on purpose. I have two Chihuahuas that I actually went to go and get them. I have two large dogs, Mattie and Koal. I am taking care of Mattie until whoever dropped her off on my country road "accidentally" comes back to get her. (Mattie is mine forever now and I am pretty happy about that) That was nine years ago so I don't think they will be back. In fact, if I ever see a dog dumper anywhere near my place I think I will give them more than just a piece of my mind. My husband and I wanted another large dog and we were looking at the internet sites for dogs that needed homes. I read about Koal. We liked his looks and his description. When I read the word urgent in red we immediately contacted that shelter and asked more questions. My husband and I discussed getting Koal and notified the shelter that we wanted him. The shelter where we got him was not a no kill shelter and the red urgent meant that he was going to be euthanized within the week. We went the next weekend and brought Koal to our/his home. He is a wonderful dog. He had lived at that shelter for about eight months. His home at that shelter consisted of a chain link cage with a medium sized dog house inside of it. When we went there to take him home I remember thinking "that dog could not possibly be inside that dog house". Sure enough he was. He came out of that dog house and he looked as if he was unfolding himself as he did it. So I guess you could say that we rescued not only Koal but Mattie also.

Our two Chihuahuas are named Daisy and Harley. They are so tiny. They are one year old, brother and sister, and they weigh maybe 4 pounds each. I am glad to find this site. I have other concerns about other dogs that I have seen in the area but I will post that on another area.
Hello to everyone.
