Hi!!!!

Well I have recently found this site and I love it!!! I have been a dog person my whole life and it is nice to find a place to chat about our "kids" and get info if needed!! My kid is Bleuberri... he is a 12yr old chow/coyote mix... and he is the sweetest thing! Can't wait to chat with everyone!

Lol, okay lets chat about your kid--I am a little intrigued! How in the world did you get such a mix? I always thought coyotes and dogs hated one another. I know that coyotes are killing dogs--snatch them right on the edges of town even. This must be an interesting story--Lol, I am all ears! Glad Bleuberri is sweet! Have you had him since he was a little pup? My Corky would of been 12 yesterday (Sunday) but I had to have him put down this past Thursday because of heart disease. He was the sweetest dog too-
cocker spaniel/golden retriever mix.

Corky/Max - In reply to how I came about with a chow/coyote mix.... I was living in Athens, GA and had recently had to put my dog to sleep because of a bone disease and my husband couldn't stand to see me so distraught so he said I could get any dog I wanted. I said that all I wanted to do was "save" a pup that would most likely end up at the pound. So, I found an ad in the paper for free pups. We drove about 30mins away and when we got there it was in a very "rural" area. The mom was being kept in a pen outside that was made of chicken wire and corrugated metal for a gate. It was very sad! I saw this adorable little fluff ball in the corner of the pen, all by himself and I knew immediately that he was the one! The mom had only two pups in the litter and the owners said that they had seen a coyote around those parts and then she was pregnant.
In reply to his name - When he was a pup he had bright blue eyes and believe it or not the top of his head smelled like fruit! The spelling was just something I came up with for variety and I like to joke that he is really french!! LOL!! Monsieur Bleuberri... must be said with a french accent!! hee Hee!!
Well that's my story! I will load up some pics as soon as I figure out how to do that!!

That is an interesting story on how you got him. And I know how you felt about losing your other dog--I still am bawling about losing my Corky. I had 2 dogs at that time so am not looking for another dog yet but when Max is gone--I am also thinking of rescuing a dog in need.
