Hi !
My name is Manon, I'm 20, & I live in Versailles (in France).
I come here to talk about dogs... in english... (so excuse me if I make some mistakes !)

OK, that's about me.

I have 2 dogs :

Mika, she's a Pyrenean Shepherd (not a real one but she looks like), she's 10... She doesn't like a lot of things except japping & eating, lol.

Then, I have Truffe, he's 6. I took him in a SPCA, and we do obedience together since... 6 months (working for competitions). He's my love, my baby... OK, I'm a little crazy about him. He likes everything, a little scared of humans and he hates... Cats...

I have 5 rats too (Krunch, Kinder, Kookie, Kacao, & Kacahuète)
& 1 hamster (Bubble)

Hi and welcome to the forum. Your English is excellent. I could never communicate in French in the same way.

Truffle sounds like my little dog - loves me, loves to play but scared of just about everything else.

About dog's fear of human, it's a really hard thing to work on...
But my dog is better than before, when I took him (he had 6 months) he was so scared he was peing on himself...
Now he just has a little move back but that's all...

I am curious about Mika--hard to see what she looks like with her face so covered by all that hair---I think she is 'cute' so I looked up Great Pyrenees pics to get a better idea. I get the impression you don't really know what breed(s) she is? From the pics I saw--I can't really see any Pyrenees in your Mika. I am giving you this link to click on so you can tell me what you think:

There are 11 pages of pics here---While looking at them all, I fell for that breed! Very good looking big dog and looks especially gentle for the size. (from 100 pounds full-grown)

Truffe is a good looking dog too--Do you know his breed(s)? He also looks like a happy gentle dog! Is he gentle and easy-going?

Sorry! But rats are not for me!

I have a cocker spaniel --11 yrs. old named Max. I just had to put my 12 yr.
old golden retriever/cocker spaniel to sleep due to heart failure. His name was Corky. You can see their pics on my profile page in my album there if you like.

I didn't talk of Great Pyrenean but Pyrenean Shepherd ! Not the same
There's two types in Pyrenean shepherd, the smooth faced & the long coat type ! Mine is long coat, but she's not LOF (she doesn't have a pedigree).

In Pyrenees (in France), Pyrenean Shepherd "drive" the herd & Great Pyrenean look after it

If you want more photos about the Pyrenean shepherd you can go on "berger des pyrénées" on google, it's its French name, there are more results than with the english name !

About Truffe I don't know what breed he's from, but we thought of a mix of border collie X golden retriever but it's just a guess.
He's reaaaally gentle to everyone and he wants to make me happy... so really an easy-going dog.

Thank you for the Corky comment. He has only been gone since June 10th--17 days ago and I really miss him--one of a kind--gentle too--maybe that is what I picked up in your Truffe's face/look--the Golden Retriever look of easy-going and gentle---Happy with the world look!
