Daisy is on a distinguished road
Default Hello from NC!

I just wanted to pop in here and write a little hello to everyone. I'm the momma to Daisy, a ..Something...Terrier mix. And Juniper. We have no idea what Juniper is, other than big and clumsy. They are both adopted from a local no-kill shelter and I couldn't love them more even if I birthed them myself.

Oh they are lovely. I can see the Jack Russell in Daisy but Juniper looks like a good honest Heinz - just like my old girl.

Juniper can't be that big and clumsy. Those are some really cute doggies, though. I'll let you borrow Buster for a few weeks. He's big and clumsy too.

Ahhhh, but Juniper was only about 6 months old in that picture. She weighs about 80 pounds now.

I don't think I could handle buster in my house! I've always LOVED the large breeds, but I don't think that my bed is big enough. I babysit a doberman every once in a while, and he insists on laying across my legs at night.

And yes, the Heinz dogs are wonderful! Juniper is the momma of two cats that my hubby and I rescued a little over a year ago. They came into the house when she was just a puppy, and she would carry them to her bed for snuggles. It was a little scary to watch her at first since I didn't know what she was doing with them, but we quickly realized that she is just a big lover. I can't wait to see how she is with the new puppy.

Yep! I posted about it in the other forum, under the title "puppies". She is a beagle/treeing walker coonhound/boxer mix, and her name is Magnolia. I wil post a pic in a little bit.

And here she is! This is Miss Magnolia Dandybottom. I brought her home tonight and she has been doing great with the other dogs. I forgot how much puppies sleep, though! She has spent most of the night cuddled up to me, one of the dogs or my husband.

Ah bless her. She looks like she's going to be a big girl. Glad that one of the pups has a safe and loving home at least.
