I just wanted to stop by and say a quick hello! I'm new here, obviously, and also new to the area I am in.

I was hoping to come here in order to help myself better plan for my future dog or puppy. I've been doing a lot of research lately on what breed I want and researching local breeders and contacting several of them so far.

Although at the moment I am very set on adopting a rescue from one of our local shelters instead, but I just like to keep every option I have open.

A little bit about me -

I was born and raised in Michigan and my life has been one long crazy move since I was 19. I am 22 now, almost 23 and now settled down for permanent in a lovely apartment in Washington.

I know my name is OregonGirl but that is because I used to live in Portland, and the name has kind of stuck. I love all kinds of animals and sometimes its hard not to take in every cute stray on the street. hehe

I am engaged to a wonderful man that I met three years ago online. Now that we are stable we are ready to adopt our first dog together and its a big decision that we are both excited and scared about! And also to get a cute friend for our large tabby.

Any help at all will be appreciated, as well as any input!
