Default Hi everyone, meet Bumble.

Meet Bumble everyone! Bumble is now 8 months old. Bumble lives with her parent in Houston, TX. Bumble is super cute. Her purpose is to give everyone her unconditional love by jumping on people and gives excessive licking. Bumble's dad is my brother, so I visit Bumble sometimes, and I babysit Bumble when her parent decide to take a vacation. Bumble is so spoiled that she have no early training. She would pull on her leash, barking, chase cars and chase everything in sight. Bumble is really hard to walk on leash when I babysit her. So her parent decided to take Bumble for professional training school. They visit Bark 5th Avenue in Houston, TX. This place is so horrible. Training school was dedicated for 3 weeks, but Bumble parent took her home just after 2 weeks. Bumble got so sick after trianing, she arrived home with diarrhea for days, ticks, fleas, a laceration on her nose, and she became more aggressive. I visit Bumble after a week when she got home, she was so depressed, her ear droop back, and hardly any tail wagging when she saw me. The lady at the training school, Penny, said she can walk Bumble on leash, but her parent can't. I don't know if Penny thinks before she speaks or not but the whole point to get Bumble to school was for her parent to be able to walk with Bumble on leash. Bumble is slowly recovering from her diarrhea. Bark 5th Avenue is so horrible, I just want to share Bumble's experience there with everyone. Hope those who lives in Houston TX loves their dogs would not leave their dogs with Bark 5th. If Bumble can talk, I think she would says "Mommy, Daddy, I forgive you for leaving me at Bark 5th."

Smile Welcome to the forum!

Hi to you and Bumble!

Sorry to hear of Bumble's bad experience. I just posted to another member a link to an article on teaching dogs not to pull, etc while walking on leash----maybe it will be helpful for Bumble! Here is a link to that thread--and in my post (Corky/Max) there is the link to click on for the article. Hope it helps! Yogi had some links to check out too.

Default Bumble Free Spirit

Hi

I loved reading your story, Bumble is so like my Sammy who is 10 still full of life, an absolute maniac, we have tried to calm him down but it is his nature and he is a free spirit so we just do a bit of adjusting. Walsking him is a nightmare we thought as he got older he would calm down a bit, no chance. Of course Bumble is still a baby and you know what human babies are like into everything and endless energy. I am sure she will calm down usually in my case about 3 years old. I have a husky too and he just used to run away, evertime I opened the gate, he would be off, I would run after him (high heels and all usually just as I was going to work. Anyway the neighbours all got to know me I was the stupid idiot running up the road chasing my dog) By the way I live in Queensland Australia and wher I live it is in quite a rural area, lots of kangaroos possoms lizards and other things not quite so nice in the summer months but we love it here. I have birds hens and a cat too. I hope you manage to get bumble to a place where it is good for you all, but if not just enjoy her spirit and the love she will give you no matter what.
