This is my first time here. As a matter of fact
this is the first time on any forum so I am a
complete newbie. I would like to introduce myself
and my 3 fur babies. I am married and live in Michigan.
Bruno is the biggest at 104#. He is a black lab mix. He
and his brother were born on Christmas night four years
ago. We lost his brother (Rocky)in March of this year. He got
out and was hit by a truck. Since Bruno, and to be honest
my husband and myself were lost without Rocky, we went
to the local animal shelter and found Emma. She is the smallest
of the 3 at 45#. She is a mix of beagle and bassett. Now we
come to Lacey. She is the oldest at 8 years old, weighes in at
65#. Her's is a sad story. Her orginal owners had to give her
up as they had to move and could not keep her. Thier neighbor
took her but did not care for her properly. late last year she
was hit by a car and was not taken to the vet. Her front left leg
was shattered. When it healed the bones healed over top of each
other, causing her to limp horribly. Her shoulder is now frozen and
she has arthritis. We found out about her though an other neighbor
and said that we would take her in. She has never made us regret
that one bit. So there you have it

Welcome. Post pics of your doggies. We have 3 saint bernards. They think they are lapdogs and right about now, your 104 lb lab would be heaven compared to 140lb Luna squashing my legs.

What a touching story! I to have three little ones: Max is about 65lbs and is an 8 year old aussie/border collie mix. I found him at a shabby run down house, and instantly fell in love. Now eight years later he has become my animal therapy dog and travels with me to various hospitals and nursing homes. Rusty is a 4 year old mini aussie, and is very much a little working dog. He loves herding the horses and even his toys. Last but not least is the newest terrier Trip a 10 month old mini pin/Chihuahua mix. To say it nicely he's a hand full...or as I call him a little "Terror"! Even with all their quirks I wouldn't trade or give up one of them!

I have to admit labs are my favorite. But any dog can steal my heart! My Bruno (puppy as we call him) would make a great theraphy dog. He is so laid back and gentle. Saints are so loveable. My girlfriend had one when we were growing up. She was almost as big as my little sisters pony. Her name was Hiedi. The first dog I can remember my mom and dad ever having was a border collie named Prince. Always on the move.
