[Ferny]

Hiii everyone! Just call me Ferny. C: I'm new here (obviously!), and I love animals. All animals! I'm a Christian, and that's very important to me. I believe God put me here to help animals, so that's what I'm gonna do! I'd also like to be an author, too.

But enough about me! I have four cats, a rabbit, a bird, and some fish... But most importantly, I do have dogs!

Dixie is a female, seven-year-old "golador." Her dad was a golden retriever and her mom is a black Labrador retriever. She's such a sweet, loving girl, although a little destructive and hard-headed at times, lol! I got her as a six-week-old puppy and she's been my best friend ever since!

Gizmo is a male, almost four-year-old Shih Tzu. I've had him for about three years now, and I got him from someone who was going to give me one of the puppies that Gizmo sired, but I got him instead. He's laid back and loving, too.

Holly is the name of actually two puppies right now! See, Gizmo sired the puppies of my aunt's Pekingese Sally, and I'm going to choose between the two girls. Whichever one I pick though, her name will be Holly. Both girls are so sweet, and ADORABLE! One's a little bigger than the other, but I like her markings better. So hard to choose. D: They're about two weeks old now, so it'll be a wait. C:

I hope to make lots of friends here, and learn a little about dogs while I'm at it!

How come Gizmo was able to breed with your aunt's Peke? It always makes me sad to see a litter of mixed breed puppies that could have been prevented. Research shows that over a third of pups will end up in a shelter at some point so it is vital to do all we can to keep from adding to the problem. I do hope you will have Gizmo neutered (and your girls spayed).

You herd sounds so cute! Good luck picking your third doggie kid. That would be so hard for me to decide between to cuties...I'd probably end up taking both, but then I'm a super softie when it comes to dogs.

My aunt and I decided to purposely breed the dogs, because I've been wanting a small girl dog puppy for a long time, and my aunt said she wanted to breed Sally one time before she got too old. All the puppies have very kind people waiting to take them to good homes, and they're all local and in our family so we can check up on them. As far as I know, all the puppies will be fixed, including mine. Sally will also be spayed in a few months. Gizmo won't for a while because another friend of ours has a Shih Tzu she wants to breed to Gizmo when she's older, but she'll have good homes for all of them too. Then Gizmo will be fixed. But thank you for your concern; it's good to see someone who cares about the well-being of the dogs.
