Hello from snowy NC...
Hi everyone! I am Amanda and my dog is Ginger I preadopted her from the local shelter Tuesday of last week as a Christmas gift for myself. LOL I was not suspose to get to bring her home until next Wednesday due to her needing to be spayed but on Thursday I went by to see if I could just visit her for a while and the lady that was working told me that if I wanted to fill out temporary foster papers then I could bring her home with me so she could be home for Christmas. I was so excited that my hands were shakeing while I was trying to write. LOL I hated the idea of her being alone in a cage on Christmas. I have to take her back Tuesday to be spayed but the Wednesday when I go pick her up she will be 100% mine, I am already 100% hers we just have to make it legal. LOL

Welcome to the forum!
So happy for you and Ginger and that you adopted this little girl---Best Christmas present for you both! I just rescued my Sami this month also. She is an older--10ish girl and just had her operated on a couple weeks ago for cancerous lumps but am hoping the vet got it all and it hasn't spread. She is a golden retriever/cocker mix--Best guess! What breed(s) is your little girl?

They think she is a chihuahua/pomeranian mix and she is 3-5 years old. She is very calm and already housebroke which is a great plus LOL she also likes a bath and she loves the blow dryer. She loves to ride in the car to which is great because she can ride around with me while I am working and then go the the office with me when I am working inside.

Well congrats on the new addition. Dogs are the best, I simply can't image life without one of these cute little faces running around. Good for you on adopting her. There are so many wonderful puppies and adult dogs at our shelters now a days. Its always great to hear a new partnership that I'm sure will grow into a wonderful friendship. Good luck with Ginger, I'd love to see a picture of her!

I had to drop her off back at the shelter yeasterday to get spayed and she looked so sad at me like what did I do wrong why did you bring me back? I felt awful so I went and got her some treats for when I pick her up today. I promised her I would be back today to get her but she didn't understand.
