Hello from California
New to the forum and wanted to say hello. I have two, what I think are, Jack Russell Terriers. A male and a female that I rescued from a local shelter. I tried attaching a pic of them but have been unsuccessful so far. They are the two in my avatar. I love the forum so far and hopefully I can contribute some.
Eric
I can't upload a pic to this post for some reason but I did make a photo album in my profile for each of my dogs. If you can take a look and give me your opinion on their breed. Thanks.
Eric

Hello from Colorado! I'm new too.
They look like Jack Russels to me but I haven't had much experience with them.

They look like Jacks to me. It's always great to meet another JR owner - they are my passion. Mine is a hopeless example of the breed so far as his coat and markings are concerned but he is everything you could ask for in a terrier on the inside LOL!
Look forward to getting to know you and your two.

He is not the brightest of dogs but very loyal and loving and perfect in every way (so long as I don't want to show him!)

Ok, I finally figured out how to attach pics. Here are a few of Jackie and Pluto. Jackie is 2 yrs old and Pluto is 1. They love to hang out on the couch.

I love them all whatever the coat type or colouring but I really do love the black saddle markings. Manny had markings like that until his coat started growing, now he is all blurred around the edges!

Welcome to the forum!
Glad you like the forum--my 2nd home. Glad you rescued those two--They look like they'd be fun to have. I never really thought about the name Pluto before but for some reason it fits your dog perfectly! (To me anyway) Is there a 'story'/reason you gave that name?

We are glad we rescued them too. They have truly completed our family.
There is no story behind Pluto's name. I guess that's the kind of name you get when you let your kids name your dog. Honestly I hated the name at first and it didn't seem to fit him but it has grown on me and I couldn't picture him with any other name. And the kids love that they got to name him.

Pluto is a great name. I've just done a quick check on another forum I belong to with nearly 6 000 owners, many with more than one dog, and not one of the has called their dog "Pluto". I think it is fantastic. When you call him do you do the Mickey Mouse voice "Here Pluto!"

No, but I bet the kids would love it if I did!
That's interesting that name is not more common than it is. I guess the kids picked a unique name.
