New to the forum
I just wanted to say hi and post a couple of pictures of my babes. Both were "pound puppies" and they've grown into the most awesome dogs.
I have noticed that a lot of people on this forum ask about their dog's breed. I had a DNA test done on both of mine, Coach (white dog) was no surprise but Lucie (red dog) was somewhat unexpected. You can't always judge a book by it's cover

Hi RedDog. Welcome to the forum. Your dogs are both beautiful and the photos are superb. What were the results of the dna, what breeds are they?

Lovely dogs, great photos. To me they both look like Golden Retrievers. So put us out of our misery! What are they?

The red dog --Golden Retriever/Cocker Spaniel mix? If not Cocker--some kind of Spaniel! I agree, the white dog is Golden Retriever with possible Spitz mixed in.
2nd guess on the red dog would be the Golden with maybe some Collie?

Coach's (white) primary breed is Golden Retriever, secondary Collie & Sheltie. I'm pretty sure one of his parents was full blooded GR & the other must have been pretty close to full blooded.
Lucie (red) didn't have a primary. Her secondaries are Chow-Chow, Akita, Belgian Terverian, Shar-Pei & Afghan Wolfhound. I knew she was a Chow mix but my guess when I got her was Chow/Golden.
This is a picture of Lucie at about 12 weeks. She changed quite a lot.

Wow! I just can't hardly believe what came back for Lucie. I love that dog---The reason I said Golden and Cocker is because she reminds me of those breeds as I have that mix. I had another one too that I had to put to sleep last June. Are you sure the results that came back for her didn't get mixed up with another dog's report!? I have a neighbor behind me that has 2 Afghans and I can't see any of that breed here. I can't see any of the breeds mentioned at all exception maybe the Chow. (and I am even pretty skeptical on it)There surely must be some Golden there.
I love them both though, no matter what their 'make-up' is----I'd take either one of them in a minute--My kind/look of dog!

Most definitely Chow - She has the dense fur, the mane & the tongue. She didn't just eat a grape popsicle

I finally did notice that tongue even in the 1st pic of her--But, darn, it slipped my mind--I was going to say Is that a 'black' (purple) tongue --because I knew Chow's do have that color--although a few other breeds do too. Lol, I guess the face of the pure Chow is so far out from most of the mixes I have seen that it is hard for me to go along with that breed being in a mix.
If you haven't already checked out pics of all those breeds listed for her---Here is a good link to do that---There are even mixed breeds shown:
http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/abc.htm
Be sure to scroll all the way down on the pages --misleading ads get in the way and you think it is at the bottom of the page when you aren't! Also note that there are usually more pages of pics to click on at the bottom!

Sometimes the DNA tests can be misleading. I sent one in for Luna to see if she had some Great Dane in her and it came back she was half chihuahua and half JRT. Luna is a saint bernard. Biggest chihuahua/JRT mix in history.

Maybe the Chihuahua & JRT are in her belly.
Welcome aboard RedDog!

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Great photos of both dogs! Love the action shot w/tennis ball, and of course RedDog's baby photo. Mixed breeds are the best in my book! Thanks for sharing.
