Hello!
This site is awesome. I love talking about my puppy pals.
I have a St. Bernard named Claudia and a Lab/Beagle mix named Sammy. Both are 6 months old and best buddies.
I posted a couple of pictures. Sammy is a little camera shy so his picture with Claudia isn't very good. Sorry if they are big.

Welcome to the forum!
Hey! I'm from Wisconsin too! Where abouts are you at--I'm in a little village about 50 miles sw of Madison. Love that 2nd pic of the 2 together, lol, They sure do look like buddies! One of the Mods here has 3 Saint Bernards---I'm sure you will hear from her eventually--She hasn't been in forum much lately though--computer problems I think. Hope you like the forum--my 2nd home.

I'm from Madison. What little village are you from? I'm sure I've been there. I love taking my dogs for rides.
Claudia is my second St. I lost my other one back in April to cancer and before that, I lost my pitbull/box mix in March. It was a tough year.

I am from Cobb. My son lives in Madison.
I had to put my Corky to sleep last June, 3 days before his 12th birthday---dilated cardiomyopathy. Worst thing I ever had to do and I still miss him--Cocker Spaniel/Golden Retriever mix. So I understand what you are saying about it being a bad year. I recently adopted a rescue dog of the same mix--Sami--older female--very loving. I also have Max--a Cocker Spaniel who will be 12 on April 1st.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"
