Default Hi all!

I'm Rainfielder from Humble, Texas. I just joined and am a dog lover. I have 2 Standard Poodles Zane and Lexi and 2 Golden Retrievers Charlotte and Cheena. They keep me busy. We live by a Wilderness Park so walking is one of my favorite past-times. I read everything I can find about training methods- especially in relation to how dogs can be trained for assistance. It's just amazing what dogs can do. My 17 year old daughter Teresa, helps me train my 4 so it's an ongoing exciting hobby.

Smile Welcome to the forum!

Sounds like you have a nice family. I love Goldens. Have/had two that were both Golden/Cocker mixes. Do you have any pics to share or interesting 'tails' to tell of your pack? Hope you like this forum.

Yes, I love to take pictures. Where is the best place to post them?

There are a couple good places. Here is info for doing it in a post: Putting photos on you post or reply. Though you may see a notice stating 50 post minimum, you can in fact scroll down under the box you are posting or replying in. It is additional options, there you will find a box noted manage attachments. Click on it and locate the photo you wish and load. When done, scroll to the bottom of the box and click submit.

You can also/and create an album on your profile page. Find appropriate heading--It is either User CP or FAQ ---See blue strip with all the white words--goes across top of page(s) in here--click on the word and find what you are looking for. I hope you put some in a post as I am not able to get into anyone else's (including my own) album right now, nor are some of the other members able to either!--some glitch in the forum that hasn't been fixed yet. Don't click on the word Album or words directly under it on your home/profile page or it will prob. happen to you too--It freezes up!

Hope this works for you. Lol, want to see esp. those Goldens!!

I'm another Golden fan - we rescued a young Golden bitchen when my son was 2. She was an incredible dog and I still miss her.

I love standard poodles too - there are a couple in town and they cause such a stir - the first time my youngest daughter saw them she came home and said that there was a lady in town with two bears on a lead!

That so cute. Kids do make funny comments on my Poodles but I stopped clipping them Continental style as it was just too flashy and attention getting. My poodles are from the Majestic Line and a bit extra showy naturally. They love to be doted on. I am a quiet person by nature so I enjoy going on walks without a lot of hoopla. We live by a nature park and my poodles seem to enjoy that even more than my Retrievers. I do have to keep them out of the water as there have been alligator sightings. That's hard.
