Default bug bites

does anyone have experience with your dog getting bit by fire ants or some other kind of insect bite and then having an allergic reaction? that's what happened to my misty about 3 weeks ago. she got awful swellings on her muzzle and itching on the back legs. she got a cortisone shot from our vet and that fixed the major symptoms.

she still 'worries' at her back legs, though, a few times during the day and there's some unusual behavior (for her,) at mealtime: going away and coming back 2 0r 3 times during a meal, which she never did before, and eating while sitting or laying down which she NEVER did before. we're giving benadryl for any lingering symptoms.

sound familiar to anyone?
