Talking Hello from Missouri!
Hi everyone! New visitor and new owner here. I own a mixed breed puppy; half miniature pinscher, and half unknown. Sounds horrible that I don't know my own puppy's breed but the shelter I got him from didn't know either. He's currently 8 weeks old, getting ready to head into 9. This is my first time ever raising a dog and its been an experience. Mostly positive experience though with some negatives thrown in here and there (potty training was "fun").

His name is Sunny, named him after his exuberant and vibrant personality. That is him in my avatar. Joining this forum to hopefully learn how to take care of him properly.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"
