Smile Welcome to the forum!

Hope you like this forum! I always liked that breed but stayed away because of the tendency of heart problems in this breed. Heard from a breeder of this breed that it can get a little expensive if one does have problems. Have you researched this breed? Here is a good link to read about this breed: Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Information and Pictures
Be sure to scroll all the way down the page--ads get in the middle and kind of confuses you, thinking page is done when it isn't! Please read esp. the chapter on Health Problems. Also note that there are 3 more pages of pics to click on at bottom of page. Isn't that very 1st pic at top of the 1st page a beauty! My book on breeds also says this about the heart--Not a fragile dog, however heart disease is very common.

I don't wish to 'rain on your parade' but hope you are aware that if you are unlucky to get one that does develop the heart problem--It could be costly to take good care of this dog. I just don't want to see the poor puppy suffering, etc. because of lack of funds to take care of it. I have no idea of your financial situation--maybe this wouldn't be a problem!

Just be sure to check out what it says to do near bottom of Health Problems---
Also prone to mitral valve disease, a serious genetic heart problem, which can cause early death. It is wise to check the medical history of several previous generations before choosing your puppy. It would be heartbreaking too to lose it to an early death---I know how it feels to lose a dog at even an older age.
