Looks like a great forum, but...
Hello everyone,
We have an eleven+ year old Bassethound. We found him over 9 years ago in Florida, sitting in the middle of a highway. Mr. Buddylee is absolutely wonderful and I look forward to sharing his many adventures with all of you. This forum looks great, but the "floating" pop-up ads are so distracting and they cover up part of the posts. The delete "X" is tiny, so the ad is easy to click. Does anyone else share this frustration? Thanks, Jeff

No, I don't face these things on this forum.
I found appropriate information here and the site is so fabulous.

I used to have the same problem but my son sorted it for me and I don't know what he did! What browser do you use?

I use Firefox. Please ask your son what settings have to be changed. I will appreciate the info.
Many Thanks! Jeff
Also, can you help with letting me know how I get my profile picture to show up in my posts and replace the question mark?
Thanks.

I use Chrome and as far as I remember the ads stopped when he changed me over! I will send you a private message about the photo - it's the easiest way to find the tabs you want! I am still feeling my way around here myself LOL!

I loaded Chrome and I still get many floating pop-ups trying to sell me the newest Toyota. Please, is there a sure fire way to opt out of all the moving ads?

I hate the floating pop-up ads too. I need to download a spam and pop-up ad blocker.

Download a pop-up blocker. There are free ones out there and it will solve your problems with ALL the sites you visit.

I use Google Chrome also and hate the floating ads as well. Anxious to see what those settings are to block them!

If you are using Firefox, then you should try to install Firefox add-ons "Adblock Plus" that is helpful in removing online advertising and block all known malware domains.

I added a Firefox plugin pop up blocker and it didn't seem to work. Does anyone have a specific pop up blocker link that I can go to?

I can't give you one as I have not used one! But I put the words: pop up blocker-- in my browser and it brought up many sites to check out! You will get lots of help there!

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

A much more enjoyable experience without the constant interruption of floating ads. I should have done this weeks ago.
