Question Hi From Kinley!

Hello!

I am new to the forum. I have a 5 1/2 month old rescue puppy named Kinley. She's a little over 30 pounds and 100% crazy! Any ideas of what type of breed she is? (I love hearing everyones ideas...we have no idea what she is)

It is the perfect all-american heinz 57. And he's absolutely adorable.

My 1st impression is Jack Russell Terrier but mixed with another breed(or more) of bigger weight--maybe some pit bull or American Staffordshire Terrier mixed in.

[B]http://www.dogbreedinfo.com/jackrussellterrier.htm Be sure to check out all 3 pages (see bottom of 1st page for the links)

American Pit Bull Terrier, Pit Bulls, Pitbulls There are about 7 more pages of pics here and some resemble more then others!

I get pit bull a lot but she seems so small (I have a pit lab mix and she's 65 pounds so maybe thats why I feel she's so tiny!). She has some hunting/herding dog in her somewhere b/c she points at squirrels, ducks, etc haha. Whatever she is she's a nutcase! I keep up with 2 other dogs in her litter and her sister is only 20 pounds and she has a very skinny nose and her ears stick straight up and then her brother is about 5 pounds heavier than my baby looks spot on physically to her! THanks for your ideas!

Lol, This is what my 'Breeds book' states about the temperament of a Jack Russell Terrier: They are happy, excitable dogs that love to hunt. In fact, they'll chase just about anything that moves.

Being as a female Jack Russell usually weighs 14-17 lbs. and a female American Staffordshire Terrier usually weighs 35-45 lbs.-----She could weigh okay for that mixture!--Could be anywhere in between 14 and 45 lbs.--depending on which of those breeds she 'leans' toward for weight.

Note that Jack Russells are very lively dogs--Ask Lara's Mom (member here) about Jack Russells!!

She is a good looking dog!

haha shes def a very happy hyper dog. She does enjoy snuggling on the couch however. when she starts to get tired she just wants to lay on me and sleep! I love it! (if she gets much bigger however we might have to find a new arrangement!

I have had her since she was only 5 weeks old (her litter was 45 mins away from being euthanized!) They were all rescued! When I got her she was only 7 pounds and would eat all her treats and bones or chew on her toys in my lap. She would bark at me until i sat on the floor with her so she could lay on me. To this day she STILL does this haha except now she can jump on the couch so theres no escaping her!

She sounds like a dog to have! Also sounds like she knows how to get your attention --Lol--Does she have you wrapped around her finger/paw? Enjoy her at this time especially when she is small enough to pick up, (although I guess 30# is not the lightest weight) and carry around and cuddle up to. etc. But better than Luna's Saints! I don't think they are liftable at over 100+ lbs! But I guess you could lay on them instead of vice versa-----Although Luna will tell you how well they lie on her and she can't move or get up. Bet they keep her warm though, lol. Enjoy your puppy!!
