Greetings all! My name is Colette, and jewels is our 1st female pug...all blk! Anyway she had her 2nd heat this last summer and lo-and behold!! she had 6 beautiful blk babies,5 boys 1 girl lol. I was very proud of jewels she did very well for her first litter...she knew just what to do. She takes awesome care of her pups also....eg. i went to change paper in their box...one pup had poo'd when i came back with new paper she had cleaned up after her own child lol. they are now 3 weeks old today. I would sure appreciate it if anyone had tips on weaning

So you bred your poor bitch at her SECOND season???

I understand that small breeds mature faster than big ones but to breed on a second season seems a bit soon , I was always under the impression that 2 years old was the ideal age to breed (3rd or 4th season).
