Default My baby - Zala

Hi everyone. I have an 8 months old german shephard called Zala and I have a few questions to ask if anyone has suggestions please let me know. We have Zala on the vet Science Diet and she seems bored when we mix a little pasta or chicken in with it she eats it all so my question is what is best to feed her - what can I make that is good for her. The other question is she jumps when ever someone gets home or comes to the door - she is like a kangaroo. We have tried the lead and she was good for a couple of days but its not really working - so any suggestions with this one would be great. Thanks

I have a 13 month old german shepherd puppy and she eats Royal Canin (http://www.royalcanin.us/). It's a good food for their skin, immune system & digestive safety (German Shepherds are prone to Bloat, which can be deadly). My vet first recommended it to me, & once your puppy is 15 months they have a special dog food just for German Shepherds. I talked to my puppy's breeder after talking to my vet & he feeds it to his adult dogs too.

When she jumps, turn so your back faces her. Then she isn't getting the attention she wants & when she calms down, you get down to her level & greet her. Make sure to greet her everytime you come home, even when she didn't jump at all, to know you will pay attention to her when she doesn't jump. If this doesn't work for her, I would recommend looking online or talking to friends-some of them may have had the same problem with their dogs, it's pretty common.
