yes it's hard...
hello,
i know what you mean about being in the right state of mind to take on a dog again. we had an alsatian puppy a few years ago, and when she was about 4 (human) years old she started having fits. this i could deal with, but when she came out of a fit she didn't recognise anyone, not even us, and at the time my wife was 8 months pregnant. needless to say, we rehomed our dearly beloved dog (and we still used to see her regularly, until we moved abroad) but it's hard to adapt from the adult dog thing, back to the puppy thing again. we've just taken on a mystery pup (6 years later), i think she's half shi-tsu and half continental toy spaniel, although we're not 100% sure. it's a real shock to the system going back to the potty training.
anyway, good luck with your new home-wrecker,
all the best,
loz, kel and alex.
