I have talked to more about this issue with the wolves and have been told that this is necessary and that what is truly inhumane is watching what the wolves will do to a herd of caribou or Moose. They will go through them ripping their achilles tendons and have downed as many as 500 at a time. Not to eat. The animals suffer till they die. That is just one example.

sorry, but who ever told you this is gravely mistaken or is relaying bogus information. First to note, Wolves have specific territories and in those territories will be one pack which consists of on average 8 to 10 wolves.
They hunt only the weak and eat what they hunt. They are not like bears where they will primarily kill and store for a later time. In addition, since the territory is theirs, they will defend it against any other pack that comes into the area. For 8 to 10 wolves to kill up to 500 at a time is totally not true. Wolves take what they need to survive and are keen to taking out the weak and older ones.
Someone is trying to justify this with information that only naive people with little knowledge of wolves would believe. Stop and think about it for a minute, it would take how many wolves to take out a herd of 500 Caribou????????. Sorry but 8 to 10 would never be able to do it. First consider that the herd instinctively will run. Secondly, wolves will not leave prey behind so there is no way they can take out a herd. Trust me I have seen this and grew up with it.
They take what they need to survive and for the record, they will bite legs yes to stop the prey if it is large. Will they intentionally mame them, no......
The same way big cats attack large game by biting on the face to take it down is the same way wolves attack legs. It is the weakest point and closes to their attack area.
This is just more of the rhetoric from those who want any excuse to kill something and in this case be paid for it. In hopes that there are enough gullible uniformed or knowledgeable people who will believe Palin is doing the right thing when in fact she is not, why do you think the federal govt has filed suit to overturn this sanction on wolves and bears that she has set in motion. The feds would not waste their time if any of this was true but they have already seen for themselves and know it is not.

Just Say No To Palin
Of course this is only my opinion but I wouldn't vote for her if my life depended on it. Doesn't she know we almost drove the wolves to extinction with her kind of idiotic thinking. Back then the excuse was to protect livestock. Now we're protecting a hunters "Trophy"?
What stupidity!!!

I'm still voting McCain/Palin regardless. Having someone like Obama with his radical background and no experience is just way to scary.

I personally find McCain to old and set in his ways to seriously change as an older person myself, I find it very difficult. For Palin, she lacks experience and with "Troopergate" currently under investigation I have more doubts. As for Obama, I find that like most "orators", many times you are taken in so much by the way he speaks that you do not necessarily hear what he says. This is typical of those with certain voices that seem to lure you in. You have a tendency to hear but do not always listen. Biden, actually out of all of them though a little off at times does have the most experience where flexibility to change is more probable and without a doubt, this country needs some serious changes.
Again, I personally have no problem with your choice unless it was due to supporting Palins bounty on Wolves and Bears that has convinced you to do so. As this does nothing to address the needs of the economy, the war in Iraq and Afghanistan etc.

McCain has openly admitted he lacks experience where the economy is concerned and that is one of the biggest issues in our country right now....He's also stated he would have no problem with our troops staying in Iraq for the next 100 years and having a brother-in-law who served and was wounded there I have issue with this....I personally think he suffers with PTSD.....
As for Palin I find her to not only be very lacking in experience but to have a double standard when it comes to the issue of teenage pregnancies and of course the issue of wolf hunting sealed it for me once and for all.....
I respect everyones right to vote for whom they deem fit But I personally think this country needs new direction and we won't get that with McCain.
Honestly my first choice would've been Ron Paul but since that's not a possibility Obama is who I'll be voting for.

I agree Yogi, I think the same about alot of the things you mentioned. It definately is a tough decision. I come from a strong military background and I also have a son in the military. I have nephews in Iraq and my son has been in and out of Pakistan and Afghanistan. We hear so much hype and lies about all the candidates that it is difficult sifting through it all.
I can't imagine NOT voting! Not with the sacrifices that were made through time to get the right to vote.
