I do hope that titles don't mean too much to you. I'm a member of many forums and have discovered that titles do not always correlate with a person's level of intelligence or experience on a given subject. I have known some senior members that couldn't possibility possess an I.Q. greater than that of a gnat and I've seen newbies that have blown me away with their knowledge. I'd much rather read posts by intelligent puppies than drivel from ignorant senior members.

I have no idea how titles work around here but my experience with other forums is that if stupid people know that titles are based on numbers of posts, they'll torture everyone with a gazillion meaningless posts just so they can attain a title that is bigger than themselves. You aren't one of those people are you?

actually I did correlate someone's "status" on here to (hopefully) be more knowledgeable on subjects. Not that I disregard a "junior member" thoughts an ideas as nonsense.
I just wasn't sure if status changed due to the amount of posts, or do you sign up with a status of veterinary knowledge, etc, etc.
but you are right, I should never assume that a senior member is of more intelligence than that of someone newer.

honestly no, it doesn't really matter. because in the end I do still take the advice of everyone no matter their status. I started this thread more so just to know cause I didn't understand how people did get their titles on here.

Bottom line of joining here is enjoying, sharing and making friends among other dog lovers and help those in need of help, whatever the personal title everyone have...

You could post on every thread with a simple LOL or or HI or whatever to build your title up, but it does not mean anything IMHO. Just because a title says newbie your oppinions or thoughts from my perspective would never be dismissed.

Its all in the manner of your communication, where I make my judgement, and frankly, sometimes the newbies will have some better advise than some of the old dogs around.......and vice versa too in other instances.

If you hang around (and I hope that you do) in time you will start building your post numbers up and your title will change.

Ive been on this forum for some time, yet still dont have a high a number of posts in comparison to others who have been here for a much shorter time than I, I will usually put it down to the fact that I can be a bit of a lurcher, read everything and pretty much every post, but it doesnt alway mean im going to reply. I only do so when I feel I have something diffrent to add, or if I really am in support/ disagreement with the subject at hand and feel that my oppinion on the matter needs to be spoken.

In actual fact I have more respect for those that say only what needs to be said, and think about what they are writing, I feel that sometimes, constant and mass "yeah im with him/her" posts can make me consider that poster lacking in ones own opinion or thoughts on any matter or have an inability to add a perspective from their own feelings/ thoughts and ideas.
