The sky was a little overcast. I decided to go out and do some shopping. By the time I exited the store, tornadoes were touching down in various places in Toronto. It was raining so hard that you could hardly see. Thankfully, a cab stopped and I made my way home without getting zapped or blown to Kansas! Moral of the story: Check the weather forecast before venturing out!!!

We had a pretty bad storm too. The tornado alarms were going off most of the day, but there were no tornadoes, thank god.

Are you in an area that is prone to tornadoes? We had a lot of damage in the outlying areas but, Toronto somehow missed the worst of it.

I am in an area prone to tornadoes. Where my brother lives is even worse though. He lives down near Xenia.

This has been the worst year for bad storms in my area in years. BTW, you should have seen me by the time I got home. I'd have put a drowned rat to shame!!!

lol. My husband had to go to work in that last downpour we had. I told him to take an extra change of clothing and to take his shoes off while crossing the parking lot because it floods.

Yikes!!! And people still deny the fact of climate change. Go figure!

Our weather has been unusually cool for August.

Most of the summer was unseasonably cool here. Then, we had a horrible heat wave. Thankfully, it seems to have passed now. I hate the heat and Toronto is incredibly humid during the summer. Nasty combination!

It is cold here right now. I have on my winter jammies. Brrr!
