Default Annoying Cashiers - Coupon Usage

So, I went to get some dogfood using my Pedigree dogfood coupons, and the cashier of the store I went to, name purposely omitted, told me I couldn't use them. She said they didn't accept my coupons at the store. I told here I had used these very coupons before, and I had no problems. She said that the other cashier must have been wrong. I told her I was positive they would work. I even asked if the problem was that I wanted to use more than one of the same coupon, and she said "No, that isn't it. We just don't accept printable coupons." I asked her if she could get her manager. She finally consented, and when the manager came, he said that there was no problem if I only used one per transaction, even though they were printed. Before the manager left, the cashier turned to me and said, "See, I told you that you could only use one. It doesn't matter that they were printed ones."

I about screamed. I contained myself, though. I will remember that cashier's name, and am planning on contacting the store about it. I don't want to get her fired, but maybe they can talk to her about doing that kind of stuff, because I've seen other people over react when they have problems with coupons. She'd probably get her head bitten off.

Thanks for biting your tongue. I run a retail pet supply store and have had to deal with my share of employee / customer relations. You should definitely phone the store and let a supervisor or manager know exactly what happens. If you don't, the chances of it happening again is certain. I'm sure there was a chance that the employee was misinformed, but that's not your fault, that's the management's fault for not ensuring that their employees know how to follow procedures.
