I do not know how I could have forgotten Call of the Wild. One of the first books I ever read. Than to find out the Clark Gable film version was actually shot about 50 miles north of me....

The Ugly Dachshund was on last month. I live that everyday, my German Pinscher thinks he is a Miniature Pinscher. He has never grasped the idea that he is 4 times the little ones size. Fun to watch him try to fit through the same holes the Miniatures go through.

I've never seen that movie, but it's cool that you have both a German Pinscher and a Miniature Pinscher. My friend has one of each too! The little one bosses the big one around.
I can't believe I haven't mentioned "Best In Show" yet. Soooo funny. I hurt myself laughing.

I read the book Where the Red Fern Grows in school and have since loved Red Bone Coonhounds but never had that breed. I did go as far as naming one of my rabbits (growing up) Little Anne. Maybe one day I will have a Red Bone Coonhound named Big Dan.
As for fav movies I would have to say that The Ugly Dachshund is it. Ever since seeing that movie I have loved Danes and Doxies. I had a Doxie growing up and have always wanted a Dane thanks to that movie. Maybe one day I will have a Dane.
I am also a sucker for horses and would have to say that Black Beauty is my absolute fav out of all my fav horse movies. It makes me cry every time when Ginger dies. On top of that movie I love The Black Stallion, International Velvet & Seabiscuit.

I have always loved 101 Dalmatians and Snoopy. These made me revisit on the films frequently.

I love dog movies
Hello everyone!
When I was a kid, I used to watch dog movies in a movie channel at our home. Two of the best out there are Lassie and Air Bud, and still I'm watching them right now in any movie channel. But I don't underestimate other dog movies, at least everyone knows what are some of my favorite movies, especially related to dogs.

I think I have seen all mentioned so far, but, If you havent seen "Where the Red Fern Grows" then You really have to see this-un. Advice: If your are a dog lovin person get plenty of tissue to wipe yer eyes. I seen it at least 35 - 40 years ago at the Ritz theater when it was released.(1974) I remember it made my coon hunting Dad cry, like I was.....
