Gordon is home.
I awakened this morning and all seemed the same with the coming and going with people in their lives.
I dressed and readied myself, jumped in the car and drove to my vet where I said I am here to pick up Gordon.
The Nurse picked up and handed me a small white cardboard box with his name on the top, and my heart broke into pieces again. I took what little was left of my friend and went home.
We got home and I was comforted by the fact we were together again, I took Gordon up the back garden where I had planted an orange tree in rememberence of all the dogs and cats I had loved and lost.
I said a few words and lovingly placed his ashes in the ground near the rememberence tree, a balloon was tied to the tree with these words written, My beloved Gorden is home RIP.
My best friend georgi was with me, she loved Gorden very much, I asked her to play the piano for Gordon's, goodbye. She played and sang Cats the andrew loyd webber song, and that was our final goodbyes to our friend.
Yes Gordon was a cat, but to us he was our child and dear friend.
