Just for fun
Ok so once you've been on a forum for as long as I have been, 5yrs now you kind of get a feel for members personalities...
So,I thought it would be fun if everyone posted what their favorite bands and type of music they're into...Sometimes when you think you have a hint as to someones personality and you find out what music they listen to it's not what you think fits their personality....
Don't be afraid to say what music you like it's all in good fun...I'll be the first to fess up...
I love 80's hair bands but mostly I'm a die hard metal fan, Metallica,Megadeath etc...I hate thrash and death metal though.. and yes I'm 44 yrs old a mom of four adult children and a grandmother as well...
OK who's going to fess up next? Don't be chickens members, spill it!

I'm more into the contemporary and Rock & Roll with some R&B and Country.
Late 50's through mid 70's. Also some of the soul and disco was not bad, at least for dance music. Loved CCR, Jimi, Led Zepplin. Willie, Waylon and the boys. Barry White, Marvin Gaye. Was not much of a Beatles fan though it was my generation. Loved the Beach Boys. But still like Dean Martin, Perry Como and Andy Williams. Loved Nat King Cole, that man could sing. I still enjoy Doo Wop music. Now I am aging myself. What the hell, I still remember coming home from school and watching Annette Funicello and fell in love. That was the original Mickey Mouse Club show from the 50's.

Lol, I don't even listen to today's music--prob. couldn't name one song I've even heard from today but I do like music from the past---Yeh, I'm over the hill (I have great grand children.) BeeGees, Bruce Springstein, Donna Summer, Foreigner, Rod Stewart, Beatles, Chicago,Taylor Dane, Eric Clapton--Cocaine (loved the music but not the subject!)

I must admit I also love Motown as well as Michael Jackson,Prince and yes K.C and he Sunshine band...Just don't tell anybody...LOL
Yogi that's just the type of music I thought you listened to....I guess we have a good idea of each others personalities since we've spent a couple of yrs as friends on the same forums...
I will bet you though you didn't peg me for a metal head...LOL

I'm a Brit so a lot of my favourite bands/singers probably haven't made it over the water - Paulo Nutini? Del Amitri? Chris de Burgh? Pete Bruntnell? But I also love Country Music - LOVE Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson and more modern stuff like Rascal Flatts, Toby Keith, Randy Travis, Martina McBride and my all time favourite voice - Alison Kraus.

Haha I stumped you!...While I much prefer my heavy metal I've got a soft spot for the hair bands...I guess it's because I was a young adult back then....
I have to say though I do love Zepplin,Pink Floyd etc.

I like mostly hard rock music and some metal. I especially enjoy Metalica and Limp Biscuit. I also enjoy a bit of rap. More rock/rap combo type of thing like Insane Clown Posse.

Britpop is my favorite genre (Blur, Oasis, Pulp.....). I also like indie pop/indie rock and classic rock.

Well i have a freakishly broad taste in music, however if i actually think about it, my taste is for complex involved music.
I am classically trained in several instruments including voice, so will admit a draw the classical/ orchestral and sometimes may get some amusement for a short while from big band music, and deffinately an affinity to broadway.
I love bopping around to techno, and will gladly clip in a hair piece, throw on some eyelashes and visit the clubs if ministry of sound and bass station is featured for the night.
Then I will come home and fall asleep to the enyas, enigma, katie mula etc.
Dinner time, its jazz and blues. 
So does that tell you anything in particular about me? :P

I like listening to Alexiou (Arabian opera), Cheb Khaled "Aisha," Ravel's "Bolero", Kenny G, Grandpa Jones, Beethoven (not the St. Bernard), Buck Cherry, Buddy Guy "Feels Like Rain", CCR, John Denver, and also Metallica but "Don't Tread on Me" is my fav by them, Nickelback, Garth Brooks. I also love the sound of bagpies.

I really listen to almost anything as long as it's not rap...There's something about rap music that is a real turn off to me. Lately I've been addicted to the 50's and 60's erra music, with a little modern country thrown in there for good measure.
I grew up listening to all of my dad's country albums and going with him to Reba and Kenny Rogers concerts. I think the first real concert I ever attended was a Kenny Rogers concert...ahh those were good times!

I am fan of love songs. They made me reminisce how life has been years in hindsight and everytime I come to hear a love song, I am suddenly placed into what they call last song syndrome.
