Hints/Ideas to try---Page 1
As I have noted in a couple of posts lately--I've been cleaning up some of the paperwork clutter I've been saving for years.---Anyone else do that--save clippings from magazines, etc? I always clipped (among other things) all the 'handi-hints' I thought sounded promising. Well, in going through things--have found some I thought I'd share in this section. Now, lol, I have had these stashed away in a box and so have never really tried them--so I am not saying that everything 'works!' but maybe worth a try! Will prob. be posting more as I find them/go through them. These 1st finds all use a hair dryer. And I am going to definitely try that 1st hint, lol, that is when I find my hair dryer in all my clutter!
1.-Is your keyboard (computer keyboard) full of cracker crumbs, bread morsels, and potato chip slivers!? (Lol, my favorite place to snack!) Turn your hair dryer on high to blow the crumbs away.
2.-Dust hard-to-reach places. Point a hair dryer set on cool at those shelves and corners, and blow the dust right off.
3.-'Iron' your plastic tablecloth or shower curtain. Hot air on plastic relaxes pesky wrinkles. Be sure to hold your hair dryer 12" away.
4.-Set frosting or icing. Want your cake or cookies to look perfect? Use your hair dryer--Cool air helps harden icing; hot air brightens a dull glaze.
5.-Remove crayon marks or wax spills. Blow-dry the stain on high heat until the wax melts, then wipe it up with a (damp?) sponge. (Now this one worries me a little--depending on where the stain is--MIGHT IT NOT SET THE STAIN?--Just be cautious!)
