Princess no more
Well, a very dear friend of mine for many a year has always called me her princess. She has always been my diamond in the rough. An odd pairing really, from different worlds but for 15 odd years we always found a common ground and got on very well from the moment we met.
Took her to watch her first roller derby match last night..........she thinking it was going to be boring and far from anything that would catch her interest, this "prissy princess" forced her to come along...........needless to say, she is now trying to find something else to call me, she could not fathom that I would be involved in something so "brutal"...........she loved the match, and wants to continue coming to see the games............but this princess crown has been broken.....lol

Way to go Nattie!!!..My best friend sends just like your friend and we're both polar opposites as well...Our other friends and co-workers are amazed that we've been best friends for 12 yr.s...Maybe I need to do something nuts like that to knock her tiara off her head or at least knock her on her a**...LOL

LOL it has been fun knocking this friend off guard. She announced to me on the way out after the bout......freind to nattie......."im as rough as guts, and you wont step out the door without your makeup and hair done............yet I play darts, and you miss princess, beat the crap outta other women, i see something backwards with that!" lol, think she might finally realise her little princess is a bit more capable than she ever has thought before.

Nattie, for as long as I've known you even if it has been through cyber space I've known you had it in you but if she didn't see it I'm pretty sure she does now...I would've loved to see the look on her face as she was watching you beating up on your opponents...I'm sure the look on her face was priceless...LOL

Im more curious to see what my mums face is going to be like............been avoiding the derby subject with her as much as possible. My mum is a wonderful lady, but just so very proper, polite and gentle natured, she is far from extreme by nature and brought me up to be the same, think she might have a mini stroke when she finally sees what derby is all about, luckily ive been able to stall it a bit, because all the recent bouts have been on nights where she has something on, but sometime soon, she is sure to be able to come along......lol, wont she just be when she sees her little girl flash the booty in public, with profanity written on it.....bahahahahahaha

As much as Im busting at the seams to share the name that has been selected, im gonna keep it under the belt until its fully registered. Our derby names are registered internationally, and if I spill the beans publicly, you never know who might come accross my posts and decide to use it on me. I trust the members of the forum fully, however i know that non members can read our posts too, and you just never know who may come accross it. If you want me too I can PM it to you though lol
As far as the extra mothers day prezzie, i think she will just be happy with me staying safe.....lol she really is worried about my safety in it, one of our family close friends works in A&E and had great satisfaction in telling mum that 6 derby girls were taken in a month or so ago from one of the bouts...........it was just a really bad night that one, the game ended up being cancelled with some time left to go due to so many injuries....a broken ankle, a busted tail bone, and a broken wrist, along with several other susptected broken bones that night...........it was a pretty brutal match...:O
