Hi I just found out I'm pregnant wit twins I have a 1year old an a9year old girls. The past few weeks iv been very depressed the father of my unborn babies an my 1y old has left me due to the overwhelming change to his life he has abandonded me. I have been down an didn't eat or drink anything for 5 days,during this time my 1in a half chiewawa (girl)never left myside I didn't relize at the time but she didn't eat iether she just layed next to me as close as she could .I feel bad cuase during this time she wanted to b on top of my chest or on my tummy she would just go back an forth.I'm wondering did she knw I had lost my will to live an did she also or was she tring to heal my pain an sarrow by doin wat she did?I have read they were used to ease an take pain away frm hurtin people by bein placed near the area of pain!

I am sorry you are having such an awful time right now. I hope you can find some support locally throughout your pregnancy and beyond I am sure your dog was well aware that you were unhappy. My dog is a wonderful nursemaid. From the time I brought him home he has seemed to have an uncanny awareness of anyone who is unwell in the house. As a young pup who you would expect to need to go outside every couple of hours he stayed by my side day and night when I was ill. The children had to bring his food to me because he would not leave the room I was in.

We are very blessed to have close bonds with our dogs.
