Lightbulb Trouble Uploading Pictures??!!!

This is 4 different posts that I just put in another thread but in order for most people to see this info, it needed to be a new thread!---So here it is: Hope I get lots of feedback here--See what I need below--->

I will repeat/paste what I just posted a few days ago:
There seems to be a lot of problems with a lot of people in here lately---and I mean not just new members--of being able to post pics! Seems to be some kind of glitch now. It was working okay a while back. All I can do is paste this info here and hope it works for you--
If you scroll down below the post you have just made, you will see another box.
"additional options". Click on manage attachments and search your computer for the pics you want to download. Finish by scrolling down and clicking on "submit".
------------------------------------------------------------------------
You do not need 50 posts in order to post pictures. And as I said before there is something in this forum that 'is screwed up!' I have not seen many pictures entered for quite some time. Evidently the programmers for the forum did something the last time they were doing some programming and caused this problem----and have not fixed it as yet----I think they can't figure out how to fix it yet!! I hope it improves soon too as I miss seeing pictures.
Okay, so I am going to check out if I can upload a picture now! The last time I uploaded a pic. was about in Jan or Feb and I haven't tried since then.

Well it is not working for me now either!! And if you go to my profile/home page and check out my albums--I had plenty of success before!

I would like to ask all/many members in here if they would all try to upload a pic---come back to this thread and reply (or show their results if it worked for you!) And how you tried uploading--Did it work from what the instructions tell you to do in this forum---See instructions above in this thread. Or did you get your photo to upload another way? Would like to get some kind of statistics ---Will forward to the Administrator the percentages as to being able to upload or not. Actually it would also be good if each of you contacted the Administrator and tell him of all these failures. If he sees how big a problem this is --maybe something will finally be done!!!----- In order to get on his profile page in order to contact him-----Go to the blue strip across the top of the Page(s) and see all the white words--find Community and click it---In the box, click members--then the A of the alphabet there--Scroll down about 2/3 -3/4 the page and find Admin and click that word and you will be in his profile/home page. From there find Contact Info--click it and then click private message!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey! no kidding--Was in another forum and wasn't even looking for this info. I am not that computer savy--Oh yeh, I know my way pretty good in this forum but have been here nearly 3 years! Anyway will this help--You will have to ignore the name of that forum and think I-love-dogs instead! Give some feedback please as it may help others who are having problems!----> Hi All,
I know how to attach photos as attachments but how do you post a photo in the body of the post along with the text?

Regards,

Kosuzu

To put an image inline with the post, like this:
http://gallery.zeussdoghouse.com/users/159_1_tmb.jpg
The image needs to be on the web someplace. One place some people use is Photobucket (Image hosting, free photo sharing & video sharing at Photobucket). Pretty sure once you upload an image there, it will give you the text to put in the post to allow the image to be shown.

If you have some other place you can host the image (some Internet Providers give a certain amount of space), you can put it there, and just link to it. If you know what the url to the image is, you can use the instructions here (Miniature Pinscher forums—PawPals - vB Code List).

Ahhh, so that is how it's done! Thank you gcomer for the info.

I just did another test--and it seems to work--No pic yet but it is pending approval so am hoping that means it 'went through!' But this is putting pictures (or even just one--if you want to just try it--you can always add to the album at another time)--Putting in an album. It will take a few days to get the pic(s) approved but if you get that message-pending approval--Well we can hope at this point it means the pic(s) 'got through!' Your album(s) will be put on your profile page--BUT DO NOT CLICK ON THE BLUE WORDS to the right in your profile page!! I and at least one other member did this and it 'froze' us out --can't get in to them now from our profile page. Now we have to go to the word--Dog Pictures in that blue strip across top of page(s) in order to view our album---We can't see anyone else's either!!! There are a couple ways for us to see our pics but it is more time consuming and maddening.

Anyway try this: Go to blue strip that goes across top of page(s) in this forum---Find the white words-Dog Pictures--click it and click words upload photos to the upper right---and follow instructions. And hey! Once you get photo(s) in your album--You may be able to upload any of them to a post you start by doing the original instructions and uploading from your album--not sure but experiment if the album pics go through---Looks promising --Got 'my fingers crossed!'
And once again---Feedback everybody---Let's hope we get something working!!!

Still doesn't work for me. Photos have been pending for 2 weeks! How long should this take?

Exclamation Yes, It Is getting very very disgusting!!!!

I am having the same problem with the pending notice for adding photos too!!! I don't think the moderators can make it work either--Can you!!?? I think that the Administrator needs to notify the owners/programmers about getting things fixed!!!!! And I should be able to just post pics instantly in a post here without pending approval! (When I finish this post I am going to try once again to just upload a pic here in this post---See if it brings a pic here at the end of this post! There are other glitches in here too and some new members are not even able to register or at least this forum is not recognizing that they did register!!! Makes no difference which as they are not able to post or even have a profile page!' Their 'status' is the same as if they never registered at all and can only thus be treated as a guest--only able to view!
And as you prob. know---losing the top moderator, Yogi--Who was a very smart person and could do a lot for this forum was a big blow to the forum too. We did not lose him from just quitting (He would never quit this forum!)--As you prob. know from other posts/threads in here you are aware of his death recently.
But I think this problem is something only the programmers HOPEFULLY can fix!!!! And SOON??? It is not helping keeping members here with some of the 'bad' things that are happening. I know I miss seeing pics of members dogs---If you will note NO pictures (hardly any for sure and I think really NONE!) have been posted in the posts for a long time!!! They just aren't able to be uploaded!!

Well I just tried to upload to this post--Got message upload failed-----I never had any problems before all this trouble started!!!
I am going to send a copy of this thread to the Administrator right now.

Frustrating to say the least. I have not been on this forum long, but the other major frustration are the floating or scroling pop-up ads. They prevent you from seeing posts! You cannot "X" them out until they rise all the way up the page. I know ads pay for this forum, but I bet these type of ads drive potential members away.

Yep! They drive me crazy too. Some are using a pop-up blocker and having good luck with that! My computer is old, slow, and needs more memory/ram so I am not (so far anyway) messing with it--I am also self-taught on using a computer and don't wish to screw things up! But you might try a blocker--They are free I hear. There is a thread in here on how /what to use, etc. I will give you a link to that thread here--maybe it will be helpful to you!--> D*mn POP-UPS Driving Me Mad!

I already got a reply from the Administrator:
thanks – we have had our techs look at this extensivley with no nothing found. I will ask again

I actually gave up on trying to get a photo into "Dog Pictures", too frustrating. As soon as I got to 50 posts, I started to put posts in the forum under "Dog Humor" and "Dog Chat". I enjoy putting a good sized photo with a 2 or 3 line caption of Mr. Buddylee adventures. I do the same on Mr. Buddylee's blog and many people like the format. Thanks so much for the compliment. I try hard to make the photos visually interesting.
