Strawberries recall--E coli!!--1 person died
Did anyone buy these from this area and then freeze them as jam or for eating later or eat fresh of course. These berries were sold at various roadside stands or farmer's markets in this area!!! Cooking kills E coli but freezing doesn't! Bad thing about this alert--It came from a strawberry farm that then sold to different roadside stands or farmer's markets so hard to say how far or where the strawberries were then sold from.
QUOTE: The strawberries were produced last month by Jaquith Strawberry Farm located at 23135 SW Jaquith Road in Newberg. Jaquith finished its strawberry season in late July, and its strawberries are no longer on the market. Jaquith sold its strawberries to buyers who then resold them at roadside stands and farmer’s markets.
