And stop finding excuses for buying things made in china. people say it's hard to find things that aren't made in china, but those are the people who can't bother to take the time to find things not made in china. we don't need most of the crap we buy anyway. our children shouldn't play with toys made in china and I would rather wear rags than buy any clothes made in china. I would eat with my fingers off of the floor before I buy silverware or plates made in china. These people make me sick. The money we use to buy their junk is what keeps feeding these horrible people so they can continue living.

I was put off with the idea of them eating dogs. Just saw the story about the little girl in my local newspaper yesterday. Really makes me wonder if it isn't gender related. It is no surprise that girls aren't valued in China. I seriously wonder if things would have been different if that child had been a boy. I do try to avoid stuff made in China but, it is hard...

I read this thread yesterday, but in order to watch the video, I had to sign up with Google. I just watched it, and I'm speechless.

I also had to sign up with You Tube to see it. I don't give a da*n what excuses these barbarians/sub human people (people!?) have--A human being is a human being---How can this be treated otherwise---even a dog or any living breathing person/animal should not have this happen to them!!

And as far as buying 'stuff' made in China---I also will not buy anything that is used to put food or water on--including my dog bowls and their lead painted balls for pets! And then there is food I will not take a chance on --for me or my dogs!! This of course includes dog treats and any of the dog toys made in China, which is where most toys are made it seems. Walmart sells more China products then they do American I think!!

It isn't all that hard to find things not made in china. Most people just don't want to take the time to look. china is a communist country. When you buy something from china, you are supporting communism. People unknowingly support communism by buying things made in china, while our troops are dying protecting people from governments such as that.

I really thought this was fake when I started watching it last night it is so shocking it is unreal. Now I wish I'd never seen it. I couldn't even reply after that. There are some things you can't ever erase from your mind and this is one. There are no words all I could do was pray & pray for that little girl. I'll never see China the same again...... I do despise xenophobia and judging people as whole. What I will do & think about is exactly what you said, Luna. Who exactly are you supporting in buying anything that is Chinese made? Is this a mentality that I want in power in the world? Hell no!! Not with my money as far as I can control it! A society should be judged on how they treat the weakest of their own. A 2 year old!!!! The woman who came to the aid of a toddler who was run down on a street in China denies rumours she was seeking fame or money by helping the injured girl, according to a local newspaper.

Chen Xianmei, a 58-year-old scrap collector in the city of Foshan in central Guangdong province, is quoted by daily newspaper Dayoo as saying she cannot watch television because of the constant coverage of her rescue of Wang Yue last Thursday.

A graphic video showing Yue being struck and run over, followed by 18 people walking and driving past her prone body, sparked outrage in China and prompted questions around the world over why someone on the street didn't stop to help her sooner.

Dayoo also reported Chen has been showered with reward money from anonymous donors since her good deed became public.

"That really wasn't my intention, and I'm so afraid of hearing what people are saying that I don't dare to watch the news. I'm not out for fame or money."

Meanwhile, reports differed greatly on the condition of the girl.

Xinhua reported on its English-language site that doctors at a military hospital said Yue is "brain dead" and could die at any time.

The state-run China Daily, however, reported her condition is "showing signs of stability."

The hospital's head of neurosurgery has been previously quoted as saying the girl is likely to remain in a vegetative state if she survives.

You're not allowed to have a heart in China, I guess. What horrible people can accuse a person of only wanting fame for helping a 2 year old child? And I was wondering what parent would leave their 2 year old unattended long enough to be hit and run over by two vans?

I know the "people" that did this to her will never be punished. I have not bought ANYTHING made in china since I saw this video. Belive it or not, everything that I have needed I have been able to buy at Wal-Mart and is made in the USA. We had to check labels on brands to find stuff not made in china, but everything we found everything we needed without buying china junk. There was a few things that I wanted that was made in china, but I didn't need them so I left them. There was one item, a wall clock, that was made in Germany. We bought it. The Germans are great clock makers. And since WWII the Germans have grown hearts and are once more human. But IT IS POSSIBLE TO BUY STUFF NOT MADE IN CHINA!

I think the hardest things to find non-China made are plastics & metals.

As for the people never being held accountable, I believe they will. We don't live in a just world but eventually we're all judged by God. I don't mean to preach or anything but I don't believe justice is really served on Earth. Just last week someone close to 1 of my family members was murdered in a horrible way, all because he "cared". The murderer was let go because the evidence was circumstantial and the key witness is dead. Justice on Earth can only go so far.
