Just about as far offtopic as you can get!!!!
My 15 year old daughter is a finalist in a national competition to find Britain's Kindest Kid. Her story was told on tv today.

Some of my friends in the states have been able to see the video and the link, others haven't but if you can and you want to we would be very grateful. If she wins the charity that she works for will receive a cash donation - enough to cover the money they spend on food parcels for two months.

I also couldn't see the video---Got this message: The video you are trying to watch cannot be viewed from your current country or location. But like Luna and Lange--It allowed me to vote --so I did. Let us know if she wins!!

Thank you Barb. I wish I could say she just looks just like me but she is far more like her dad! (Mind you I think he is gorgeous too!)

Don't feel bad girl, only 1 out of my 4 look like me and that's my youngest..At least though 3 out of the 4 have my green eyes!

When my first son was born the midwives joked that they could tell he was with his father but had no way of knowing if I was his mother! Two of my 5 are like me but the other three are daddy's!

Mine is the spitting image of hubby...I don't buy it.  Or I'm just in denial.
I voted!!! Couldn't see the video but I've been having problems on the pc I'm on with all video's....And Cig,,,you must be so proud of her! She obviously comes from a wonderful family. I hope she wins it for her org!!

Thank you. I am so proud of her I could burst. I am totally biased of course but I think she is amazing. It wasn't until she was nominated that I realised quite how much she does. I think my all kids are wonderful just like any mum does but none of the others has the same empathy and awareness of suffering that she has.

I voted too!
I have a 15 year old daughter here, and I'll tell you, she has always stood up for the underdog so to speak.
You should be proud!! She really seems to be trying to make a difference.

Thankyou - we really appreciate everyone's support. We had to go to London for the finalists to meet the Prime Minister and receive their medals and certificates. The other youngsters were so polished and professional and Roz is just a worker! But the world needs both kinds - those who get others to part with their cash and those who get on and do the work. There would be no point in one without the other. But I still think those kids who actually care and who are not afraid to stand up for the underdog are that little bit more special!!

Ros didn't win but the lad who did was so lovely. They have all achieved so much in their teens - anyone of them could go on to change the world.
