Hi,
I write a blog for a Mason County Animal Shelter in WV. They are a high intake kill shelter(this is sad). Please check out the blog. I try to post three times a week. If you know of any rescuers in the area or people who love animals and would like to adopt, please direct them to the site. I also have a My Space site where I post animals from other shelters and rescues.

It's Raining Cats & Dogs In West Virginia



Here is sweet lonely homeless dog on the west coast. A rescuer sent this e-mail


This is Caden. He got abandoned when his owner lost focus on his own
life. So, to ensure this sweet boy's life is saved, we are paying daily
to keep him at a kennel. But he is alone most of the time and it's
showing in him, as he can't seem to gain the weight he needs. He LOVES
to play ball, loves toys, loves humans, loves being petted and touched.
He would be great to start with in a home without other dogs. He has
been through a lot and need to get his confidence up and know he is
wanted and loved.

Several of us, in between our jobs, work hard to visit him, but we MUST
get him out fast. We have run out of money to shelter him and he will
eventually become so kennel stressed, it will make him nuts. We can
transport him.

Caden is only 2 yrs. old and has the potential to be a very good family
dog. He would love obedience training. He just hasn't had much of a
chance to learn basic obedience or to be shown love. He is neutered and
current on all shots.


Please pass this along and consider a foster for him or adopt. We are
out of options.
