Default Help save these dogs from harm!

Hello everyone, I’m writing this because I’m at the end of my rope and don’t know where else to turn for help. I love walking and do so frequently. On several occasions I’ve seen two dogs running loose around the area where I usually walk. These two beautiful dogs are allowed to run on a street where cars drive by very fast. Their owner just lets them run loose and of course they run on the street. I actually spoke to their owner one day about how dangerous this is for his dogs and he didn’t seem to care! I feel that it may be only a matter of time before a car hits one of those dogs. I called the proper local people about this but was told there was nothing that could be done unless something actually happened to the dogs and even then nothing would most likely be done.

This dog owner has no regard for leash laws or fences and doesn’t care enough for his dogs to make sure they don’t run loose on the street where they could get hurt or killed.

Maybe if we send him letters informing him of the importance of leash laws and the danger of letting dogs run loose unattended on streets, he might get the point. There is strength in numbers so the more letters he receives the better. Please help these dogs before they get hurt or worse.

The following is the information I have on this individual. His house address is easy to see as I walk by and Google verified the rest.

Do you have any no kill shelters in your area? If so and the dogs are friendly, I would recommend that you load the dogs up and take them to the shelter. If the owner wants them back, they will have to bail them out. Otherwise, a new home with a responsible pet owner would be in their future. I've done this a number of times and have had owners bail out the dogs two and three times before they get the message. Some pet owners don't bother and never claim their pet which is not a bad thing. There is no excuse for letting a dog run wild and risk being severely injured or killed by a car. It doesn't have to be a busy street, a dark street is just as deadly.
