Hello. I need ideas help. I am getting anxious. After a two year fight to keep my home I am losing it due to foreclosure. My dogs and I have no where to go. I had a shelter whom was going to foster them until I can get on my feet but it fell through. I have a husky and a beagle I live in illinois and I am seeking some one who can foster them for me for awhile. All attempts for employment have failed. I have no money to move but my main concern is my dogs. In the next few weeks I will be selling the contents of my home to give me some money to hopefully move on. I am scared I am going to end up on the street. I do not want to put my dogs to sleep. I have a tent I can live in. Thank you for your ideas in advance. buddeshope

So sorry to hear of your plight! Afraid I am not able to be of much help. Just thought I'd come in and say that there are a lot of rescue savy people in here and I'm sure they can help you. I know I have seen phone #s to call for assistance in here. Just keep watching for some replies. Did you leave your email address in the contacts heading on your profile page? It would be a quick way for someone to get a hold of you if you aren't getting in the forum that often to check for answers! Hope things get better for you and your babies. Please don't put them to sleep!

i am really sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is when you have no where to go and not sure how things are going to wind up. Do you have no family or friends? I wish i could help but right now i have my sons dogs who was in the same spot as you are. I'm also disabled and cannot drive or take them for walks. Check out your local churches, they may be able to set you up with enough cash to get you started in a new place and some landlords do have a soft spot. do not try talking to them over the phone about it. set up an appointment to see a place then talk to them in person. you may be able to skip security deposit for a few months. that's a little less money you have to come up with. i know this is not much help, I'll be praying for you. If you have family but are too proud to ask for help you are going to have to set your pride aside and let them take care of you for a while.

There is a new trick that if you ask who holds the deed to your house the mortgage companies have passed the loan around os many times that they lose track and that can give you several months- you have every legal right to ask and they have to provide.......look into that more

as for the dogs you can run an add on craigslist or other free sites asking for help and offer to walk and visit the dogs etc maybe someone can even hold them for you while you get sorted out.

I wish the best for you---some good suggestiosn were made. NO KILL shelters are the only ones I would work with and there are alot of loop holes so be careful and have it all in writing.
