PETA Donations
Sorry if I put this in the wrong section. I'm not 100% where it would fit. I am currently signed up with my own donations page for PETA (People for Ethical Treatment of Animals). I just thought I'd pass along the link if anyone would be interested in donating to the cause. The money will go to PETA. At the current time, PETA is excepting donations to build dog houses for homeless dogs. Feel free to ask me any questions you'd like. Thanks!

Afer what PETA did at Westminster, they can go to hell. I would rather buy bags of dog food and toys and leashes and donate them to my LOCAL shelter. Sorry to sound rude, but after a lot of the stupid crap PETA has done, I want no part of those whacks.

I'm sorry but I cannot support PETA in any way, shape or form. I don't care for their methods. Nor Will I support an organization that claims to be working for the betterment of animals and yet euthanizes the majority of animals that come into their care.
PETA is against people and animals sharing their lives together. I cannot condone that.

I agree. If they cared about animals and the way they were treated, why show up at a dog show in KKK outfits and spread bullcrap? The majority of the dogs in those shows are some of the most pampered pets out there. They have to be or they wouldn't be a good enough quality to show. People who show their dogs don't love their dogs any less than people who don't. If PETA wants to protest they should show up in front of shelters and tell people what happens to their pet if it doesn't get adopted. But they would rather cause a scene at a public dog show than face the people who are really the problem.

Oh, my. I'm glad to hear this information. I had no idea that PETA has done some of these things. I'm not all that farmiliar with them. ALl I know is that they are a top organization for the betterment of animals. What are some of the other pros and cons of PETA. I know they're a major organization.

They're a major organization at getting empty-headed celebrities to pose naked for their ads. There was a time when PETA was a respectable organization but, those days are long gone. The "fringe whacko" element has been in control for a long time. Look them up for yourself.

Todd, I was not going to reply primarily due to what you have seen with the prior posts but I can tell you that PETA a couple years back posing as pet company with a false name went to the AKC and proposed a promotional pack for anyone who registered a new purebred puppy with AKC. AKC saw no harm since PETA falsely identified itself as a pet company looking to do promotions.
What people received was a plastic garbage bag and a letter from PETA basically telling them that due to their purchase of a purebred they could use the bag to bury one of their dogs. In fact, Peta puts down more dogs based on volume than any organization out there. What they claim to do is not what they do. Their advertising is on the same level as the Inquirer with their reporting. There are many good groups out there that truly need our support, this unfortunately is not one of them.

Well said Yogi!
Whether you are the parent of a purebred or a mixed breed, this organization is evil. I have zero respect for them.

If you really want to help, donate to your local shelter. I never give money, just dog food, collars, toys, leashes, towels, blankets and phone cards. I like to buy those things myself so I know exactly where my money is going.
I also wanted to state one more thing. They target children too. PETA has stood outside of McDonalds and handed out "Unhappy Meals" to little kids. The parents were pissed. They contained some things that little kids shouldn't be subjected to. PETA said thet they were campaigning for the cruelty to chickens that McDonalds buys. I think they are cruel for scarring our little people.
