Exclamation Need a good home for Calif Minpin

I need to find a good home for Minpin I've been taking care of for 6 weeks. I found him running loose at the park where my son was playing baseball. I've advertised at animal shelter, Craigslist, local paper, Humane Society and put up signs to no avail. He had no collar on him when I found him, so I don't know if he was just abandoned or what....also no chip. He is a neutered red min pin, approx 8 years old. He is housebroken and he will sleep through the night without going in the house (as long as you take him out first thing in the morning). He minds when you tell him to sit, stay or go lay down in his bed. Doesn't tear anything up or run around the house....actually pretty mellow. When he gets excited he will dance around in cirlcles. Gets along with both cats and dogs.

I have 3/4 acre yard which isn't secure and will be moving to an apt in a month. I'm looking for someone who has a SECURE yard and has time for him. I've called the rescue in S.Cal and they don't have room and also don't take any over the age of 5!!! Please help as I don't know what to do!!!

As a breeder and rescuer of Miniature Pinschers I wish I was in CA, I would be more than happy to take the little guy. I do have though a friend who has bred raised, rescued and is an AKC shower of Miniature Pinschers who lives in San Beradino who takes in rescues and places them with people regularly if interested, let me know. I do not know where you are located in CA.

You could contact a rescue and see if they could at least find some transport to get your minipin to Yogi's house. He loves them. Or they could give you some names and numbers of people willing to transport your pooch. You won't find a better person than Yogi to take your minipin.

Thanks Luna....
I checked with Norma and she currently has 40 rescues she is trying to place which max'd out her kennel space. I would take the dog if there is anyway to transport but would first need to know where you are. I have a friend who is a big rig driver and does deliver to CA occasionally. I do not know exactly where though but he does dog transports for rescues and I know he would have no problems bringing him to me.
