Pit Pup Has 1 Day Left - HELP!
I'm trying to keep an 8-10 month old pit bull puppy out the pound, but can't find a foster. The person who has him needs placement by the night of Friday the 13th or will have to take him to a kill-shelter that's out of room.
This dog showed up in my friend's yard about two weeks ago and her neighbor agreed to take him in. Unfortunately, the landlord has only agreed to allow him to stay there until Saturday. We've searched for an owner unsuccessfully and have had no luck finding a foster.
He's great with people, dogs, and cats. Very sweet and friendly!
I'm completely maxed out with 4 foster cats and a foster dog of my own (who went into heat right before her spay surgery so we had to push it back), so I don't even have room for him for one night.
We're located in Toledo, Ohio, but can transport up to 3 hours away. Please reach me (my name is Jill) at ToledoCats through gmail if interested (this forum won't let me post my email). He's a cutie!

Home found!
After a long day and lots of nail biting, we found this sweet pup a forever home. Big fenced in backyard, loving adopter with pit experience, and she lives right down the street from the vet I use when my vet's unavailable. So whew! Good stuff!

Welcome to the Forum!
So glad you found a good home for that little pup and thanks for taking care of him and finding a place for him.
Now that that is taken care of, hope you stick around--- how about telling about your animal family?

Now Luna! I thought you might be in the 3 hr. distance that dralionagogo would transport that puppy. You could of added a Pit puppy to that big family of dogs you have. I didn't mention before because I know with your big heart for rescuing---you would of been tempted!!

I did send the OP a private message, but never heard back. I'm glad the dog found a home.

A rolled up newspaper can be an effective training tool when used properly. For instance, use the rolled-up newspaper if your dog chews up something inappropriate or has a housebreaking accident. Bring the dog over to the destroyed object (or mess), then take the rolled-up newspaper and hit yourself over the head as you repeat the phrase,"I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG, I FORGOT TO WATCH MY DOG!"

Is your name after Cirque du Soliel's Dralion? We went and saw that at the Schott during the summer.

So am I. I bought the big dragon head from the Dralion cirque and hung it on the wall in my bedroom.
