Default Chappie, needs a rual home

OUR CHAPPIE

CHAPPIE, is very much Collie, he is a cross, but has the charactistics of a intelligent boy.

Chappie does get on with some dogs, and is generally an easy going lad with them around, but like us all we need time and introductions to get to know each other.

He, does not like the kennels, he is very stressed and doesn't help himself by jumping up and down, he can really jump high, and I mean high, so he would need a really high secure garden or a large free roaming home, obviously kept on a lead until he has bonded to you and doesn’t wander off.

Chappie would be an ideal pet for someone that wants to do agility or someone that lives on a farm, even someone that works on the land, he is intelligent, eager to learn and is very positive to food rewards. He is also good around live stock and horses, so really trying to find this boy that type of home, as I know that is the life that he needs.

Chappie like many collies nips, some times he will jump up at someone walking by and nip them, it's not aggression, it's more, come on lets go and have some fun. So this would to be taken into consideration, as it could frighten you and who ever he may jump up on. Again, this is why I am trying to find him a home where he accompanies you around your land, where he can channel all his energy and frustrations running around free. I believe he only jumps up as he wants to play, he hates being restricted from letting his hair down and running around. He really isn’t the type of dog that can go for a walk a couple times a day, and expected to sit quiet in a home, he is too intelligent, he needs stimulating and loads freedom, to make him a happy devoted companion.

Chappie needs someone, who knows how to channel this boy, someone that is firm and fair, understanding, willing to work with this lad. He needs plently of exercise, stimulation and could do with some training or doing tricks to keep him occupied.

I love this boy, and I would have him in shoot, if I didn't already have my four, he has always been a delight, and I have taken him with us representing Last Chance on a few occasions, and he has been good as gold. The reason I don't take him more is that he can get a bit upset if in the car for to long.

Due to Chappie loving life so much, and being a lively lad, that needs to be taken control off, ie. whilst out walking, we suggest grown up children, unless he is given the desired life that I have described. Like I said, he can’t handle sitting around, going out for walks etc, he really needs a home where he is like a working dog, help you around the farm/land having loads of freedom, so when his day is done, all he wants is to have his tea and curl up by the fire. This would be Chappie’s ideal home and life. Could you be the one for him, he needs you so, so much.

Chappie is up to date with his vaccinations, had flea and worming treatment, ID chipped and is adopted with 6 weeks free insurance.

love him
