 Extremely shy puggle puppy
Hello there...
My boyfriend and I just bought a cute little puggle puppy (pug/beagle mix) and he is VERY shy. He was kept outside in a kennel for most of his life. He is approx. 6 months old (or so the breeder said). We live in an apartment with another puppy, a Jack Russell. They get along fine, he's laid-back and she likes to play.
The actual question is, how do we get him to trust us like the Jack Russell has? He's very skittish, and always acts like he is in trouble. Every once in a while he will come to us when we call for him, but he refuses to walk on a leash without our Jack Russell around. He becomes very stubborn and WILL NOT move when we walk away. How can we get him to trust us enough to walk with a leash? |
